When you register with BuyByeSupply, you will also need to create an account with Escrow.com.  They will ask you questions as though you were opening a new bank account. Escrow.com must secure this information as part of Anti-money laundering regulations.  Anti-money laundering (AML) refers to a set of laws, regulations, and procedures intended to prevent criminals from disguising illegally obtained funds as legitimate income.

 

  • Create an account with escrow.com using the same email address you used to create an account with BuyByeSupply.
  • Choose how you would like to pay and receive payments (ACH or Wire Transfer) and provide your banking information (where you’d like funds to be deposited or withdrawn).
  • Go to escrow.com/verify to complete your profile
  • Verify your personal details by submitting a photo of your government issued ID or similar government document (drivers license or passport will do). If the address doesn’t match or isn’t visible, submit a utility bill or bank statement in your name as proof of address.
  • Next, add and verify your company details. Verify them by submitting a copy of your certificate of incorporation or other proof of company registration.  Examples can be found here https://www.escrow.com/support/company-verification
  • Once submitted, you should be verified within minutes.

Simply go to the landing page of the item you want to discuss.  About halfway down on the right is a “chat with seller” button.  If the seller is on BuyByeSupply at the time, they will receive a pop up with your message.  If not, they will receive an email telling them that they have a message in their BuyByeSupply inbox.

Terms for the transaction are FOB Seller.  This means that the goods become the buyer’s responsibility once they’re packed up and on the seller’s dock.  The buyer must arrange for pickup and payment for freight.

During the checkout process, the seller is required by escrow.com to enter shipping information.  Since the buyer handles shipping, sellers must enter the following dummy information to complete the transaction.

Tracking number: 123456789

All details to be worked out between the buyer and seller through the BuyByeSupply messaging system.

Most manufacturers either have in-house testing or hire an outside company to test inbound product when it arrives.  If you do not have this capability, there are many businesses that can offer you QC testing.

Once you’ve registered, go to your dashboard.  Once there, select the “add product” button.  You will then be given several fields to complete including Product Name, Description, Short Description, Select Category, Tags (optional but must be hard keyed), Original Manufacturer, Exp Date, Unit of Measure, Country of Origin.  You can also click a box if it’s certified organic to allow it to be searchable by organic only on the Shop page.

Next, upload the CofA or other documents you think the buyer should see.  You may also attach a photo of the product (or a stock photo from the internet) to make your item more attractive.  Then provide SKU number (optional), Reg and Sale price for your item along with how many units you have available to sell.

Once you are on the landing page for the product you’re interested in, you’ll be given the option of adding to your cart at the listed price or making an offer.  To make an offer, select the “make an offer” button and enter the price you’re offering along with how many units you’d like to buy.  Then select “send the offer”.

The seller will receive your offer and can either accept or reject it.  If accepted, you’ll be notified that your offer has been accepted.  If rejected, the transaction will be cancelled and you’ll have to start over.

Tip: If you want to negotiate with the seller, simply send them a message using the “chat with seller” button to agree on a price.  Then, make an offer and enter the agreed upon price.

 

No.  Due to the complications of Escrow payments to multiple vendors on a single transaction we cannot process multiple vendor transactions at this time.  You will have to buy them separately.

Escrow fees are set to be evenly split between the buyer and seller.

BuyByeSupply takes 20% of the total value of the transaction.  This is paid for by the seller with proceeds taken from the escrow account prior to distribution.  You will see this amount listed as “marketplace commission” on your transaction detail.
